Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights!

Spooky, spoofy tours run on the hour from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. from the Rocket Club in West Asheville on October 29 and 30, and on the hour from 9 p.m. to midnight on Halloween night, the 31st.  Tickets  are $22 and must be purchased in advance.  Ticket prices include admission to the Rocket Club for that evening.  Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) or purchase it at the Rocket Club when you load onto the bus.

SpookyBlog

Spookyblogapaloozananny, Oct. 30 from 7 – 11 p.m. at the PUMP Gallery in the Phil Mechanic building in the River Arts District.  The event is a benefit for the AHOPE. Last year, it raised $1,000 for the homeless shelter. With a $10 suggested donation, all proceeds with go to AHOPE.

It will feature music by: Its Elephant and Albatross Party and entertainment by jugglers: 40 Fingers and a Missing Tooth.

Costume Contest at the Wedge Brewery. 7 p.m. sharp, judging.

Outdoor Cinema at the Wedge Brewery.  FREE, 9 p.m.  “Wait Until Dark”

Dress warm, bring your lawn chairs.

Asheville On Bikes Pumpkin Pedaller. 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. The ride begins at City County Plaza, just outside City Hall, and culminates in the parking lot of Clingman Café. The Melanaster Band’s Marley Carroll provides the musical entertainment for the evening.  Entry to the event is $5.

MadTeaPartyHalloween-themed vinyl album with handpressed cover–love it–from our beloved local-based “Mad Tea Party.”  Download the album for under $4 and listen!

 

On Halloween, see them at Catawba Brewing Company with Southern Culture on the Skids.
AbsintheAnd, Jason Smith, of locally-based Night’s Bright Colors, has a 24-track, solo Halloween project called “Absinthe Twilight.”  According to Jason, the album “attempts to depict one complete day of delirium, one track per hour.  There are very little vocals or percussion and plays almost like a soundtrack for a Tim Burton film.   Download it for free and listen.
