I just got asked by a friend to do this, and think it looks like a fun, easy way to raise some funds for the local Red Cross. Interested?

The event will include a one mile race or fun run as well as a walk sponsored by Mission Hospital’s Lighten up for Life program all to take place before the holiday parade. Imagine the streets of downtown lined with screaming holiday paraders… all cheering for you!
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Asheville-Mountain Area Chapter of the Red Cross! But you’re not just running and walking for us, you’re running for those in the region who are in desperate need of blood, the families who have been affected by house fires, floods, winter storms, etc., you’re doing it directly for your community!
