Green Opportunities is an Asheville-founded non-profit that is creating nationally recognized models for job training and hiring practices.  They, along with the Asheville Housing Authority, and other community partners are renovating the historical W.C. Reid Center into a green jobs training and education center. The center will provide people from the surrounding neighborhoods access to education, job training, support services and other resources that help people achieve greater self-sufficiency and empowerment.
