Echo Gallery is a joint venture with seven founding artist members, and is likely the coolest thing about Biltmore Park.

Lori Therault (potter)
Genie Maples (painter)
Barbara Fisher (painter)
Susan Webb Lee (textiles)
Laurie McCarriar (photographic art)
Anna Koloseike (ceramic sculpture)
Susan Finer and Cindy Walton (painters) are recent core members.

Current guest artists are:
Heather Tinnaro (potter)
Becca Floyd (potter)
Alex Stevens (furniture)
Brian Fireman (furniture)
Tekla (metal sculpture)

Most of the founding members have a history of being involved with various community organizations, but  noticed quickly that MANNA Food Bank had been a common thread.  Genie Maples organized a fundraiser for them last year that Barbara Fisher and Cindy Walton participated in, and Lori Therault is on the community board for MANNA’s Empty Bowls event,  as well as a new board member for Imagine Render, the non-profit that founded Empty Bowls.

“We knew we wanted to do something that would give back to the community, so we decided to offer bowls (and perhaps from time to time other pieces) for sale to benefit Empty Bowls,” said Lori Therault, founding member, “and also to designate 5% of sales directly to MANNA.”  This comes out of the gallery commission too, by the way, and does not impact artist or guest artist sales.

They sponsored a booth where visitors could decorate bowls that have been fired and will be sold at the next Empty Bowls event (or some may even end up for sale in the gallery for the same cause).

Check it out.  Support the local economy and artist entrepreneurs, AND MANNA Food Bank.
